Cape Town Stadium was commissioned for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The fast-paced mega project was completed on time in 33 months, despite a late change of site and many geometric and communication challenges. HF & P were part of a structural design joint venture, and were responsible for most of the stadium’s concrete work (largely precast) which made up the seating slabs, raked beams, post-tensioned first floor amongst other elements.
